Michigan Community Capital At Work

Community Partners

At Michigan Community Capital, our communities come first. We provide a high level of engagement within our investment communities. We join our development partners in meeting with residents, leaders and stakeholders during every step of the project planning process. Engagement is the key to delivering better projects. It is the most important part of our mission.

The majority of our Board of Directors represent communities in Michigan, agencies and organizations that facilitate and support low-income communities, or residents and business owners who reside in low-income neighborhoods. Our strong connections with key stakeholders within each community is a key component of our success.

The following communities are prospering thanks to Michigan Community Capital’s investments in creating and preserving affordable workforce housing and redeveloping blighted sites, while maintaining demographic diversity:

  • City of Traverse City
  • City of Grand Rapids
  • City of Detroit

The following communities have already been positively impacted by our use of New Markets Tax Credits:

  • City of Grand Rapids
  • City of Flint
  • City of Bay City
  • City of Detroit
  • Benton Harbor
  • City of Owosso
  • City of Pontiac
  • Village of Escanaba
  • Village of Quinnesec
  • City of Hamtramck

Get Involved!

Our funders are always reviewing whether we’re meeting our Mission, specifically supporting investment in low-income communities and affordable housing for working-class families in otherwise outpriced markets. If you have a project requiring a unique capital solution, we encourage you to reach out to us.
