Project Name: Inner City Christian Federation

920 Cherry Street SE
Grand Rapids, MI 49506

The entire project was developed on a collaborative basis through a joint venture of Second Story Properties and Baddani Associations Inc. The New Markets Tax Credit allocation from Michigan Community Capital was specific to the historic redevelopment of the D.A. Blodgett Home into the new headquarters for the Inner City Christian Federation.
The Inner City Christian Federation (ICCF) headquarters consisted of the renovation of the 31,000-square-foot building to house the administrative office for ICCF and its affiliated organizations and provided program and classroom space for ICCF's program.
Championed by Mrs. Delos A. Blodgett, the building was originally constructed in 1908 as an institutional care facility for children that were “nameless, homeless, wards of juvenile courts, sick babies, and children of parents who are temporarily disabled or without means.” Now known as D.A.Blodgett St. John’s, the organization still operates in Grand Rapids as a child foster care, adoption and support service organization.">
