Description

This was the redevelopment of over 250 acres of land in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph as part of a total 500 acre land development. PNC Investments (Formerly National City Bank) provided the equity leveraged by a loan from the Whirlpool Corporation. This project utilized a combination of New Market Tax Credits and Brownfield redevelopment incentives to redevelop the formerly blighted and vacant land. The developer was the nonprofit Harbor Shores Development Corporation.
